Cincinnati v NKU Recap by Bucky Cooper

Justin Jackson was a machine last night and Yancy Gates wasn’t too shabby himself. Overall, the rest of the team followed suit and played great defense throughout the game. The Norse are notoriously solid from beyond the arc but Cincinnati dominated in the paint. It’s clear the vets on this team are very good and the newbies have a lot of learnin’ to do but there will be plenty of opportunities this season.

Film Study: The WVU Running Game

Dana Holgorsen’s offense is known for it’s high flying passing offense, but like Butch Jones’ spread there is intense value in a good running game as well. Matt at Down the Drive provides an in-depth look at this often forgotten portion of the Mountaineer offense.

Recruiting

Taft defensive lineman Adolphus Washington will take an official visit to UC this weekend

The duo of Adolphus Washington and Dwayne Stanford are among the highest rated prospects in the country let alone Ohio. I’ve always assumed both were destined for a B1G or SEC school. Only a few months ago, neither was giving a lick of interest in Cincinnati. But a few weeks ago, Stanford surprisingly placed UC in his top 3 and now Washington is visiting Cincinnati this weekend. Quite frankly, I don’t think either of them will sign with Cincinnati and are just wasting Coach Jones and his staff’s time.
