Cincinnati hosts the Radford Highlanders this afternoon. I’m not going to go into much detail breaking down that team because, quite frankly, they aren’t worth my time. RU is just plain bad and the Bearcats should wipe the floor with them. Here’s some numbers to rub salt in the wound, though:
– 30: The number of days since Radford’s last win – November 16th vs. Central Pennsylvania. They have lost 7 straight heading into this game.
– 2: The number opponents UC has on the schedule from the Big South Conference. Presbyterian was the first and Radford will be the second. The Bearcats already dropped a deuce against the first Big South opponent. They ain’t doing it twice.
– 0: The number of players on the Highlanders that are averaging double-digit points per game. Johnathon Edwards is a hair shy of that mark with 9.9. But that doesn’t cut it.
– 11: The number of players for Radford who have 10 or more minutes played per game. Yet they can’t find anyone that can score.
– 1: The number of wins Radford has over Division 1 opponents. A close victory over Delaware to open the season seemed like a good sign of things to come. Boy was it wrong to think that. The Highlanders have been 2 – 8 since.
Prediction: How’s your algebra?
Radford: X
Cincinnati: 3X
