3-point shot: Hall, Cincy are contenders
Andy Katz is definitely right on both statements. Seton Hall is definitely a surprise and it remains to be seen if this strong play will continue through the Big East schedule. They have certainly passed the eye test to this point. The Bearcats are again playing great defense and have found some outside shooting for once. Cincinnati’s weakness will always be on the offensive end with how much they emphasize defense but UC’s ability to force turnovers to create extra possesses will definitely help this team.

Cronin tries to get Titus touch
Andrew Force at Bearcat Report (Rivals’ UC site) takes a look at the wings Mick Cronin is going after in the 2012 class. Rumors are that Titus Rubles is a soft verbal to Cincinnati but those cannot be confirmed until he signs in April. More than likely he just has Cincinnati as a heavy favorite at this point. Also on the list is Chris Obekpa who the ‘Cat would LOVE to bring over. He’ll be a tough get as programs like UConn but based on the list I’d say Cincinnati has a good a chance with him as any.
