Forward Marley Hill Commits to the Cincinnati Bearcats

When it comes to recruiting my wheelhouse is typically Bearcats football and men’s basketball, mainly skewing towards the former. But when news breaks like this I can’t pass up the chance to speak about it. Head Coach Jamelle Elliott has scored another highly-rated prospect in forward Marley Hill. She hails from a successful high school program in Pickerton, Ohio that has produced seven D-I college basketball prospects since 2007 and most recently won the D-III Ohio State Championship.

Hill is rated a four-star prospect with a grade of 92 by ESPN recruiting. Currently she is on the ESPNU HoopGurlz 100 Watch List as the 17th best forward in the 2013 class. The rankings will be released in the coming months. If she signs on to play for Coach Elliott, Marley Hill will join an ever improving Cincinnati women’s basketball team. As I highlighted in that piece, Elliott has worked tirelessly to upgrade the talent on UC’s roster and Hill is just another piece in the machine Elliott is building that is the Lady Bearcats. The team saw marked improvement near the end of the season and I for one can’t wait to see what UC can do with a roster loaded up with recruits like Hill.
