2012 Program Preview – Cincinnati Bearcats
It’s waaay too early to start talking about UC’s 2013 NFL Draft Class (myself not included) but here’s a pretty solid analysis of the Bearcats to keep an eye on this season. I fully expect Pat O’Donnell to come off the board early which for a punter means 3rd or 4th round. He will be one of the best players at this position in the draft and will bring a lot of value to a team looking to upgrade their special teams unit. Also, as long as Sean Hooey can stay healthy he should go no lower than the first few rounds. Based on size alone, Mt. Hooey should get drafted next April but what will really raise his draft stock will be his ability to avoid injury and play very well at left tackle. If he proves that he can transfer into an NFL left tackle, one of the most prized positions on the football field, look for Hooey to go on Day 1 or early Day 2.
