Facility Upgrades Update complete with PHOTOS!

Kudos to UC for continuously providing updates about the laundry-list of upgrades occurring around the campus this Summer. Facilities junkies like me just eat this stuff up. It’s good to see some of the projects coming along as planned. I’m particularly impressed with how the Sheakley Athletics Complex and the UC Basketball Practice Facility are progressing. They should be good-to-go when their respective program’s season begins. With regards to the latter, upgrades were much appreciated to Mick Cronin and his crew. Honestly, I can’t blame him.

While the space is relatively new, the interior looked like a bunker straight out of World War II. It was just that cold and lifeless. As a recruiting tool the blank walls were certainly not appealing to visiting prospects. There was no reason to not have UC logos painted on the brick and banners hanging on the walls showcasing the rich basketball history at Cincinnati. Finally Mick will have yet another weapon in his recruiting arsenal to ensure he lands the best prospects Kentucky won’t buy.
