Analyzing the opponents: Virginia Tech and Miami

Paul Dehner is clearly getting ahead of the game by taking a brief look at the Hokies and Redhawks for next season. Bearcats Nation will of course do a weekly preview in the days leading up to the games but this is a nice view of what to expect out of both teams. We know all about the Miami Redhawks who, to be blunt, simply can’t compete with the Cincinnati Bearcats in the current environment of college football. The Virginia Tech Hokies will, however, be especially dangerous. This Orange Bowl rematch will pit an inexperience UC offense against a VT defense that returns just about everyone. This is by far the toughest opponent on Cincinnati’s schedule and is one of the most difficult teams any Big East team is facing outside of the conference schedule.
