Bearcats in the NFL: Week 9
By Chris Bains
Only Isaiah Pead’s St. Louis Rams and Mike Wright’s New England Patriots were on a bye this week so every Bearcat was in action over the weekend.
Derek Wolfe: Six tackles against the Cincinnati Bengals in addition to a batted pass.
Kevin Huber: Four punts averaging a solid 51.5 yards per boot landing two inside the 20 yard line.
John Hughes: Two tackles in a losing effort to the Baltimore Ravens.
Haruki Nakamura: Six tackles in Carolina’s upset of the Washington Redskins. He also knocked down RGIII once on Sunday.
Ricardo Mathews: One tackle in Indianapolis’ win over the Miami Dolphins.
Connor Barwin: Another great week from the Houston Texan OLB/DE. He had four total tackles including a sack and knocked down the quarterback a team leading four times. Ryan Fitzpatrick is surely happy to not have to see him again this season.
Brent Celek: Five catches for 47 yards. The Eagles tight end continues to be a prime target for Michael Vick.
Trent Cole: Six tackles including a TFL in a losing effort against the New Orleans Saints.
