Some former Cincinnati Bearcats on the defensive side of the ball really shined this week.
Trent Cole: Huge day for the Philadelphia Eagles defensive end. Notched five tackles including a sack and knocked down a pass. He also jumped on a fumble recovery to round out a very good performance.
Kevin Huber: Five punts averaging 38.8 per boot including a touchback.
John Hughes: Four tackles in Cleveland’s loss to the Washington Redskins.
Derek Wolfe: Four tackles including a sack in Denver’s dominating win over the Baltimore Ravens.
Connor Barwin: Three tackles including two tackles for loss, one of which was a sack of Colts quarterback Andrew Luck.
Mardy Gilyard: Didn’t catch a ball but was targeted twice in the Jets’ loss to the Tennessee Titans.
