In an exceptional act of public relations, Mick Cronin has opened up Cincinnati’s final practice in Clifton to the public. It will be UC’s last go around before the Bearcats head to Philadelphia to take on Creighton in their opening game of the NCAA Tournament. You can find all information about the event here.
This will be more than just a practice that UC fans can witness, which are rare to say the least (those of you who do attend, let me know how much time he spends teaching offense). This will be a pseudo-pep rally of sorts. A strong crowd would really provide energy to the team and give them the last minute support they need to make a deep run in the Big Dance. No matter how far they travel, these Bearcats would know that they have the support of thousands back at home. It will also give Cincinnati an opportunity to experience live game conditions during their practice. This can only help them when they take on Creighton this Friday. Overall, I love this gesture of goodwill by Mick who I’m sure would be thrilled to see thousands fill the seats at 5/3rd Arena tomorrow at 1 pm. If you are able to, I highly encourage you to make the short trip and give these players the send off they deserve.
Go Bearcats!
