A really solid review from our frienemy Scott at Bearcats Blog wrapping up not only this season but UC basketball during the last few years in the Mick Cronin regime. While 2012-13 was a slight disappointment based on the expectations from the beginning of the season, this team still accomplished a lot and have elevated Bearcats basketball to the point where fans can once again count on Cincinnati competing for conference titles and making it to the NCAA Tournament. We’ve finally emerged from the darkness of the post-Huggins days and Mick Cronin should be praised for bringing us this far.
QB Bennie Coney finally seeing the light
Great stuff here on redshirt freshman quarterback Bennie Coney’s progression through Spring practice and how he’s really developed as a quarterback. I’ll have something tomorrow on the position battle at QB-2 but this is a nice piece on his backstory, delving into the person behind the helmet.
