The Deveroes Summer League is one of the best ways for basketball fans around the Cincinnati area to get their fix of college basketball during the long, arduous offseason. For years UC players have participated in the event for team SLATS. While the gameplay is closer to street ball than an organized college offense, it’s still a great way to gauge how the Bearcats are progressing through their offseason workouts.
This year’s DSL is particularly intriguing. Mick Cronin essentially overhauled his basketball roster by signing 5 recruits in the 2013 class. Not only is it projected to be the Cincinnati coach’s best signing class ever but all of the players are participating in the DSL. SLATS played one of their games yesterday afternoon and thankfully we have some highlights to drool over. Check them out:
