Silver Lettering Highlights Cincinnati’s New Football Jerseys

facebooktwitterreddit

Yesterday UC teased us with close ups of new uni’s the football team would roll out this season. Today, newest UC football commit Landon Brazile (excellent name!) dropped the above picture when verballing to the Bearcats this afternoon. I’ll have a deeper analysis of the commitment later today but for now let’s talk #unigeek.

This picture provides us the best view to date of Cincinnati’s new uniforms. Whether they will be donned every home game outside of the whiteout against Purdue and the Ring of Red game remains to be seen. However, I must say these look quite nice. Like I mentioned, the most recent iterations that Adidas has provided the Bearcats haven’t been flattering. I mean zubaz? Really? Why don’t they send over a few boxes of parachute pants and glittery vests while they’re at it. But I’m impressed with what Adidas has done for Cincinnati this time around. The silver lettering is flashy but not overwhelming and meshes well with the black background. Plus the new designs on the chest and shoulders are nice tweaks but aren’t in-your-face drastic. Overall the tweaks don’t take away from what makes Cincinnati’s uniforms, in my opinion, one of the best in college football; black jersey with spatterings of red.

Well look at you, UC. You’ve got me talking about fashion in a sports blog. When will this damn offseason be over already?
