Troubles behind him, Teague ready for fresh start
Almost a year after being kicked off the team, we finally know the landing spot of Akise Teague; Junior College Iowa Western. As a recruit out of Youngstown, Ohio he displayed flashes of greatness as a senior in high school and during his freshman year at UC. Teague could have truly developed into a game changing runningback for the Bearcats had he not gotten into trouble. It’s good to hear that he’s on the straight and narrow nowand I’d love for Cincinnati to go after him as he prepares to graduate from the JUCO circuit. He would be a great get for any team.
College football countdown | No. 34: Cincinnati
Nice preview here from USA Today. The only qualm I have with it is how he claims Cincinnati will be more of a running team under Tommy Tuberville. I don’t necessarily see that as being the case considering the Bearcats ran the hell out of the football under Butch Jones. Sure the runningbacks will get their carries in the Tuberville/Gran offense but with the way Jones/Bajakian leaned on them in 2012, there really is no way in my mind that they could run the ball even more in 2013.
