After putting up nearly 300 yards of total offense and three touchdowns to guide the Cincinnati Bearcats to a win over the Temple Owls on Friday night, quarterback Brendon Kay was named the American Athletic Conference player of the week this morning.
Congrats to #Bearcats QB Brendon Kay who was named @American_FB Offensive Player of the Week this morning.

It’s pretty clear after Eddie Gran simplified the offense that Kay looked remarkably more comfortable in the pocket, responding with Kay-like numbers in the box score. It was a great night for Kay who also completed 84% of his passes and didn’t throw an interception, an issue plagued him against Miami (OH) and cost the Bearcats the game against South Florida. Like I mentioned in the linked post, hopefully we see more performances like these going forward.
