It looks like a sell-out crowd will be on hand to watch what could be the last battle for the Keg of Nails Trophy between Cincinnati and Louisville.  As of Monday afternoon, there are 200 tickets remaining for the game via UC’s ticketing website, catstix.com. Actually there are exactly 202 remaining if you’re counting (I already did it for you).

This will be UC’s second sell-out of Nippert this season, the other being the Week 1 blowout win over Purdue.  A capacity crowd for a night game at Nippert should make for a hostile atmosphere, and crowd noise could prove to be a huge advantage for UC.

The Weather Channel’s way-too-early forecast as of now is also calling for a mix of rain and snow on Thursday night.  The high for Thursday is projected at 51°, but it will no doubt fall into the high 30°s after the sun sets for a 7:30 kickoff.  I take that to mean snow, and who doesn’t love football in the snow?

Bearcats football in the snow on the date of December 5th.  I’ve seen this movie before, and I like the way it ends.

So break out your black parkas, black stocking caps, all black everything.  Come early, be loud, wear black (it’s a blackout, remember?), and I’ll see you all at Nippert on Thursday night!
