Sean Kilpatrick, Justin Jackson See Action In 2014 NBA Summer League

Former Cincinnati Bearcats Sean Kilpatrick and Justin Jackson saw action in the 2014 Las Vegas Summer League when games opened up over the weekend.

The former UC guard had the better performance of the two. Kilpatrick’s 76ers played the Utah Jazz on Saturday night and the undrafted free agent more than impressed in his debut. The guard paced Philadelphia in scoring on the evening with 20 points, 11 of which came in the first quarter, and shot 7-13 from the field. He also nailed 60% of his shots from beyond the arc and was perfect from the free throw line. Clearly Sean Kilpatrick has elevated his game and is doing everything he can to get the call up to the 76ers’ regular roster this fall.

Conversely, Justin Jackson played a pair of games over the weekend but didn’t fare as well. On Friday night his Charlotte Hornets faced the Golden State Warriors but the former UC forward saw just six minutes of playing time. Jackson didn’t shot the ball just once, picked up two fouls, and didn’t collect a single point. Then, tonight against the Sacramento Kings, he couldn’t get off the bench. Hopefully his fortunes turn around soon.

Below are their respective schedules in the coming days.

Sean Kilpatrick

  • Cleveland Cavaliers, Monday 7/14 – 8:00 pm
  • Phoenix Suns, Tuesday 7/15 – 8:00 pm

Justin Jackson

  • New York Knicks, Monday 7/14 – 4:00 pm

The Las Vegas Summer League playoffs begin on Wednesday July 16th and run through the 21st.
