Former Bearcat Lance Stephenson Signs New Three Year Deal With Hornets

facebooktwitterreddit

Tuesday night, the Charlotte Hornets signed former Cincinnati Bearcat star Lance Stephenson to a three year $27 million deal. This deal comes after Lance turned down a five year $44 million deal from the Indiana Pacers.

Lance didn’t get the cash he wanted, but the great thing is he got a solid lump sum with a chance to get another nice deal in three years. The Hornets are a team on the rise and will be able to showcase his talents.

Lance is coming off of a career year were he led the NBA in triple doubles and put up numbers to the tune of (13.8 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 4.6 apg, 49.1% FG and 35.2% from 3 point).

He will be an important part to the Hornets who have a lot of young pieces led by Kemba Walker (who UC fans got to see up close and personal) and Al Jefferson. With Lance on board the Hornets have their version on a big three.

Bearcat Nation will be checking you out Lance, keep doing your thing.
