Way Too Early Prediction

I can’t put my finger on exactly why but to me this has the makings of a trap game. Yes the skill level across the Bearcats’ two-deep is a step above that of Tulane’s. However, the fact that the Green Wave return several strong pieces from a bowl team next season and get Cincinnati in their brand new stadium worries me. Curtis Johnson appears to be a capable head coach who led Tulane to victories over 10-win East Carolina and Rice last season. But the Green Wave also lost to freaking South Alabama. WHY MUST YOU BE SO JEKYLL AND HYDE, TULANE?! Ahem. Anyways, I’ll give Cincinnati a 7-point edge as of now but I wouldn’t be surprised if that changes for better or worse in the full preview on game week.
