Bearcats To Unveil Special Whiteout Helmets Against Toledo

After kicking off the 2013 season with all-white uniforms in the 42-7 demolition of Purdue, the Bearcats are set to return to that winning formula again in 2014. In Friday’s season opener (finally!), the Bearcats will don the expected all-white jerseys and pants, but will debut a brand new chrome C-paw on helmets.

The chrome C-paw may sound familiar. If you can’t seem to recall where you’ve seen it, let me help. You may have purged last year’s game against Louisville from your memory, but the Bearcats wore very similar helmets, albeit in black. Think of this week’s duds as the all-white counterpart of the uniforms last worn when the Bearcats took the field in Cincinnati.

The ‘Cats romped in white last year, and hopefully they can do the same on Friday. Between Cincinnati’s arsenal of receivers and these new chrome lids, the Bearcats will look to create some fireworks on the field before the real fireworks take over the city following the game. Five more days, Bearcats. Five more days.
