Bearcats In The NFL: 2014 Regular Season Week 7

Forgot to do one of these last week but here’s an update on the Cincinnati Bearcats players who recorded stats in week 7 of the NFL’s 2014 regular season. With the Philadelphia Bearcats on bye this week, the list this time around is mightily shorter than usual. Darn you, Andy Reid for drafting so many former UC players.

Also, the New England Patriots apparently hate Kenbrell Thompkins and the Detroit Lions keep jerking George Winn around, which certainly cut down on this list.

John Hughes: The Cleveland Browns played terribly against the Jacksonville Jaguars, obliterating my fantasy team’s chances this week in the process. That’s the last week I entrust my hopes in the freakin’ Pixies. But you don’t want to hear about my fantasy team (or do you?! I could rant for hours and hours!) Back on topic, former Bearcat defensive tackle John Hughes notched four tackles against the Jags.

Kevin Huber: Cincinnati’s offense was shutout in pre-Marvin Lewis fashion on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts. As a result, punter Kevin Huber got a boatload of reps. His 11 punts in this game was the most of his career. Huber never even hit double digits in his six year career until Sunday, which goes to show you just how awful the Bengals’ offense was. But the Cincinnati punter did his part, booting a 63 yarder against the Colts and averaging 50.7 on the day.

Travis Kelce: He finally fell back down to Earth in the Chiefs’ 23-20 win over the San Diego Chargers on Sunday. But Kelce certainly got his targets, four of them for 33 yards.

Derek Wolfe: In a decisive win for the Broncos on Sunday night, the Denver defensive lineman notched three tackles.
