Munchie Legaux’s First TD Broke Twitter

While watching the Bearcats hold a commanding 20-3 lead against the Bulls something very special happen to QB Munchie Legaux as he scored on a 9 yard run for first time since his catastrophic injury last year. He was overcome with emotions as he slid to his knees in the endzone after the score. It was one of the feel good moments of the year.

After he scored, I was ready to fire up a few tweets and my IPad kept repeating “Twitter over capacity“. This message repeated for 4-5 minutes. I don’t know if Munchie’s score was really the reason Twitter was over capacity, but it was working fine all night until the score so I’m sticking with the story.

At the press conference, I told Munchie that he broke Twitter, Munchie laughed and said, “I hope it got my twitter followers up.” #BearcatNation follow Munchie Legaux.

Legaux filled in nicely for injured Gunner Kiel. Legaux played the whole 2nd half, he threw for 121 yards on 14 of 15 and 6 rushes for 6 yards a touchdown. With the status of Kiel up in the air and Evans suspended indefinitely  the Bearcats will need Munchie to stay ready just in case he’s called upon to lead the team in the near future.

Legaux help lead the Bearcats to a 34-17 win and push the winning streak to two games in a row.
