Way Too Early Prediction On Round Drafted
- 2nd thru 5th Round
The soon-to-be senior from Rockford, Michigan has a lot going for him heading into next year. At 6’7″, 315 lbs, Ehinger swallows up sunlight when he trots onto the football field. From a size standpoint he’s pretty much ready to enter a NFL camp, add 10-20 lbs in the weight room, and compete for a spot on a depth chart. Lord knows he has the experience to handle the mental rigors of the tackle position at the next level. Plus he’s spent almost as much time inside as he has on the outside of the line.
But Ehinger needs to improve as much in his pass blocking as he has in run blocking over the next several months. He needs to become more flexible as he keeps edge rushers at bay. Learning to continuously keep his center of balance low, his stance wide, and feet shuffling will ensure the quarterback’s clean in the pocket and Ehinger’s taken early in the 2016 NFL Draft.
