Way Too Early Prediction On Round Drafted

  • 2nd thru 5th Round

Mekale McKay came to Cincinnati from Arkansas and wowed fans with his unique combination of size and speed. His 6’6″ frame and long arms make it nearly impossible for opposing defensive backs to match up with him on jump balls. Plus his size makes McKay an excellent target for quarterbacks, as his wide catch radius gives passers the ability to not be on target 100% of the time and still see the receiver haul in the ball.

But where the senior needs improvement is consistency. McKay used his long legs to get behind defenses several times over the past two years. However he would have caught far more than 1,210 yards and 15 touchdowns during that span if he didn’t drop so many passes. Plus McKay took months off at a time. He had more yards against East Carolina on November 13th than the four games prior.

That’s McKay’s biggest weakness at this point. He must become more consistent as a pass catcher and master several routes to hear his name called early in next year’s draft.
