We are getting closer and closer (44 days) to the grand re-opening of the renovated Nippert Stadium, as UC will host FCS Alabama A&M on September 5th.  And conversely, the stadium is getting the finishing touches in preparation for opening night.  And boy, is it a work of art!
- The East Concourse is nearly finished. Â Structurally, everything is in place. Â The buildings that will house new concessions and restrooms, the walkways, the stairs, and the skybridges are all in place. Â All that remains is plumbing and electrical work.
- Similarly, nearly all structural work on the West Concourse is done. Â Paint, carpet, tile, and lighting are either done or in the process of being installed.
- The rooftop deck on the club level is being fitted with stone, and will be a great spot to enjoy the game – especially during nice weather.
- The new concessions underneath Bearcat Plaza on MainStreet are structurally complete, and the granite stairs and walkways are being replaced. Â You can really notice the progress in this area on the Nippert Construction Webcam.
- The new lights are now fully operational on both sides of the field, and lighting has nearly doubled.
- Oddly enough considering all the progress, seats are still missing from the 400-level suites.
