UC’s Homecoming Under Armour Uniforms Are All The Triangles

The University of Cincinnati revealed their red homecoming Under Armour uniforms that they will roll out against the UConn Huskies on October 24th to commemorate UC’s 100th year in Nippert Stadium. And my are they geometric.

When Under Armour wants to incorporate a school’s architecture into the designs of their jerseys, they certainly go all out don’t they.

My initial thoughts are holy crap is that a lot of triangles! Obviously inspired from the Lindner Center, which were also incorporated into the stripes across the legs and shoulder pads, UA really took it to a whole new level with this design. They put triangles everywhere; basically the entire surface of the helmet, down the legs, on the inside of the gloves, just all over the under shirt, and again on the shoulder pads. Triangle aficionados certainly love this design.

Overall, I’m like ’em. The helmet is sharp with the Jimmy Nippert memorial on the back of helmet my favorite aspect of the entire uniform. Plus the “Nippert Stadium” down the pant leg is a nice touch.

But if you don’t feel the same way, rest assured, they’re only going to be worn for one game.
