Bearcats BlogCast: Previewing South Florida, Recapping UC Hoops’ First Week

Today on the Bearcats BlogCast, Scott and I were fairly focused in our conversation, unlike several times over the course of this podcast spanning.. wow.. over a year? Geez, I trust it’s become marginally more listenable since last year. I wouldn’t be surprised if it didn’t or got notably worse. Actually, that would be the least surprising thing I would have heard in my entire adult life.

Be honest, I can take it.

Anyways, if you’re still consistently listening to this podcast or just dropping by every now and again, tonight’s is a continuation of our last few segments. We discussed UC football in their final games leading up to hopefully an AAC Championship and the progression of a transformed basketball team. Here’s a full rundown:

  • An extremely brief review of the Tulsa game, one in which there were few surprises.
  • Previewing South Florida, who are coming on at precisely the wrong time for UC.
  • How to keep the two-headed monster of Quinton Flowers and Marlon Mack in check.
  • The ramifications of this game, with the AAC East title on the line.
  • Discussing the scenarios for UC to win the division.
  • Moving right along to hoops and just what has gotten into the Bearcats this season.
  • The depth on this team and how it was evident against Bowling Green how much UC will lean on that this year.
  • Scott and I then disagreed wildly on how much of a challenge the Falcons were and the prospective outcome of the Bearcats’ more challenging games.

As always, you can listen via the media player below but feel free to subscribe to our podcast on iTunes. We’re also up on Stitcher. I think. We’d love for you to rate and comment on it.
