Three-star wide receiver Malick Mbodj has officially signed with the Cincinnati Bearcats for their 2016 recruiting class on National Signing Day.

Mbodj is but one of several wide receivers Cincinnati has signed in this class. Despite the Bearcats basically completely turning over their entire corps, the logjam at the position might work against him. But Mbodj does high point passes well and understands how to shield the ball from the defender with his body, two important skills for a tall receiver like him to have down pat. That, and dabbing. I wouldn’t be necessarily surprised if the young receiver sees playing time as a true freshman, as it’s one of the easiest to transition from the high school to the collegiate level. But a redshirt could be in his near future, as well.
