Here’s a snippet from his full recruiting profile.
OVERVIEW
The first thing I notice and hope you do as well is that Paul is ridiculously fast. Like Chris Moore-fast. Like I wouldn’t be surprised if he ran a 4.2 or 4.3 Forty-fast. If Paul can get into the open field there’s only a handful of defenders in the country who would be able to run him down. That includes the high school and collegiate level. It’s just a shame he doesn’t touch the ball all that often, boasting just five receptions last year but finishing third on the team in receiving yards with 101. Paul also led Cass Tech in touchdowns.
The reason for Paul’s low numbers is simple; Cass Tech is a run heavy team. The Technicians (seriously?) ran the ball 200 times last year to just 92 passes. If Cass Tech gave Paul more opportunities his numbers would likely skyrocket.
OUTLOOK
Paul could be the ideal return man for the Bearcats. I don’t see him redshirting as a freshman because of his legs which could earn him a spot from day on on special teams. That raw speed could also earn him reps at receiver in his first season in red and black. Cincinnati isn’t like Cass Tech. The Bearcats will pass the ball and a player with Paul’s speed will become a fast favorite of offensive coordinator Eddie Gran.
