3) Central Florida Knights – (W) 52-7

Like with Alabama A&M to kick off the 2015 football season, no UC fan in their right mind thought there would be even the remote danger of the Bearcats losing this game. I mean Cincinnati was favored by almost four touchdowns coming into this game. Heck, half of UC’s offense could have caught the Avian flu and probably one by a touchdown or two.

But after a season that watched us witness frustrating losses to Temple, Memphis, and BYU, the way the Bearcats so thoroughly dismantled the Knights was a cathartic experience.

Plus we can never forget the fact that Shaq Washington broke UC’s all time reception record that Ladaris Vann (204) held for over a decade. Even Mardy Gilyard never approached that mark. While it came in a fairly unexciting game, the fact that Shaq’s illustrious career culminated in him getting his name etched in stone in Bearcats lore and he was honored at home was unforgettable.
