11) Memphis Tigers – (L) 53-46

The bad feelings surrounding the loss to Temple two weeks prior would have been alleviated if Cincinnati had taken down the AAC West favorite Memphis Tigers.

Noooope.

The toxic cocktail of poor tackling, criminally awful coverage, and some dirty plays by Memphis handed the Bearcats their second straight conference loss, essentially ending their hopes of a run at a New Years Eve bowl before the calendar had turned to October. Plus it ruined Hayden Moore’s coming out party in which he threw for a school record 557 yards and four touchdowns. But a late interception, Cincinnati’s third of the game, ended their comeback bid.

Just another high scoring loss in the Bearcats’ pocket for the season.
