On today’s Bearcats BlogCast, Scott and I kept our discussion laser focused. Last week, if you recall or even listened (it’s cool if you didn’t), we started off our tangent early with a discussion about Parks and Recreation that teetered into an argument about the awesomeness of Jurassic World.

This week, though, we stayed on track with the original intentions of this podcast, the 2016 AAC Tournament that tips off today. Cincinnati, being a four seed, has a bye in the opening round but takes on #5 UConn tomorrow. We of course delved into that match up as the Bearcats attempt to three-peat the Huskies. But we also discussed this week’s individual awards that were doled out this week, especially Gary Clark’s Defensive Player of the Year honors.

Here’s a full rundown of today’s segment.

  • All-AAC First, Second, and Rookie teams
  • Individual AAC awards
  • Overview of today’s games
  • UC’s game with UConn tomorrow
  • Predicting how the entire tournament will play out
  • Cincinnati’s potential seed in the NCAA Tournament
