Cincinnati Football: Caleb Williams considers Bearcats among early favorites

Caleb Williams got a chance to attend one of the Bearcats spring practices in April and shared his thoughts on the program in a recent interview: “I really enjoyed my visit down in Cincinnati and I think they have a great culture going there. They have great energy at practice and are definitely a program on the rise.”

In addition to attending the Bearcats blowout win over UCF in October, Williams also took a trip to Cincinnati with his dad in early 2021: “My dad is the only member of my family to go to Cincinnati and he really likes it down there. The next time I’ll be down on campus is most likely at camp and for a game next season.”
The 2024 3-star prospect plays cornerback, wide receiver and kick returner at Canton High School and is expected to be a defensive back at the next level. Williams currently has scholarship offers from Pittsburgh, Tennessee, and is receiving interest from Cincinnati, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame and more.
“I could definitely see myself playing for Cincinnati one day. They obviously had a very impressive season last year and I see more of those to come for them in the future,” Williams told me in May. “Some other early favorites of mine are Tennessee and Pittsburgh. I really like the coaches and culture in those two programs.”
After visits to Michigan and Michigan State last year, Williams talked about potentially leaving his home state: “It would be cool to be the home town kid and go to school here but I really don’t have any specific drive to stay close to home. I’m more focused on finding a place where I fit as opposed to where the school is.”
