It’s not very common for Cincinnati to recruit such a young prospect but Wes Miller extended a scholarship offer to 2026 combo guard Manny Green in late December. Before his freshman year at Cedar Grove High School, Green picked up an offer from the Bearcats because of his explosive athleticism and ability to finish at the rim.

Green talked about what it was like to get his first offer from Cincinnati in a recent interview: “I felt very happy. It’s something I will never forget!” The 6’5, 195-pound freshman guard should continue to create buzz on the recruiting trail after showing off next level potential on the AAU circuit and throughout last season.

Even though an offer hasn’t come quite yet, Auburn has also expressed interest in Green. Since joining the Tigers, Bruce Pearl has done a great job recruiting Georgia, bringing in former 5-star recruits Sharife Cooper, Jabari Smith Jr. and Walker Kessler. Isaac Okoro and JT Thor are other recent Georgia natives to attend Auburn.

"“I didn’t get a chance to visit but I did have a good talk with coach Pearl and I am looking forward to visiting Auburn,” Green told me. “They have good trust within each other and know how to play team ball.” The Tigers have five players from the state of Georgia on the projected roster prior to next season."

Green currently plays for the AE5 Rimrockers, Anthony Edwards’ AAU team, and will have a chance to develop into a top flight prospect in the coming years. “It’s been very good playing with AE5,” Green explained. “My biggest strengths on the court are finishing, shooting the mid-range and defense.”
