There are tons of outside factors that impact games every Saturday in the fall and weather is arguably the most fickle of them all. With that said, it looks like the Bearcats are going to avoid a surprise from mother nature against Arkansas today.

Kick off is scheduled for this afternoon at 3:30 PM at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville. According to the latest WeatherStem update, the forecast will be 82 degrees and sunny with 62% humidity when the teams take the field.

There shouldn’t be overwhelming wind during the game but it’s projected to be eight mile per hour winds so that could make a difference in the passing game or on special teams. The wind is expected to be coming from the North and Northeast.

Just before kick off is scheduled to take place, the humidity is approximately 62% but that rate should drop further into the night as it cools down. WeatherStem is also predicting a 0% chance of rain as the Bearcats attempt to upset the Razorbacks.

Assuming it starts on schedule and doesn’t include a delay, the game should be coming to a close around 7:00 PM which means it will still be light outside since the sunset is supposed to occur at 7:43 PM in Fayetteville tomorrow evening.

I think the heat could cause an issue for some players depending on their preparation but the weather shouldn’t be a major factor unless something changes. All signs are pointing to clear and sunny skies as the Bearcats and Razorbacks matchup.

Both teams will likely benefit from the lack of disruption this week but I’m expecting the weather to cause some issues later in the regular season as it normally does. We’ll make sure to update the weather report prior to every game this year!
