The Bearcats are underdogs for just the second time this year as they prepare to face UCF in a crucial road game on Saturday. Check out our Week 9 preview with odds, predictions and more as Cincinnati will attempt to secure a 20th straight conference win.

UCF had a 19-game win streak over AAC opponents before the Bearcats broke the historic run with a 27-24 win in 2019. Three years later, the roles are reversed as Cincinnati has a chance to surpass the record-breaking streak and UCF can play spoiler.

According to WynnBET, the Knights are favored by 1.5 points as they look to rebound from a loss at East Carolina last week. Even though both teams come in averaging more than 36 points per game, the over/under is set at 56 points prior to kick off.

  • Date: Saturday, October 29 at 3:30 PM
  • Location: FBC Mortgage Stadium in Orlando
  • TV Broadcast: ESPN and fuboTV
  • All-Time Series: Bearcats (4-3)

My preseason predictions included a narrow loss at UCF but the Bearcats have enough to pull off a slight upset and extend the winning streak. If they are able to avoid committing costly penalties and turnovers, I think Cincinnati will escape town with a 30-27 win.

In a recent press conference, Luke Fickell touched on the upcoming matchup per Cincinnati Athletics.

"“We’ve found ways to win and I think that’s where we’ve grown the most. Now it’s going to be uniquely different this week. This is our first true challenge since Week 1 to go on the road in a hostile environment and play a great team. I’m not taking anything away from the teams we have played on the road but we haven’t been in a hostile environment since Week 1. It’s just another challenge for us. In order to win on the road, you’re going to have to play great in the red zone. We haven’t done a great job in the red zone defensively and that’s something we pride ourselves on.”"
