As the search for Luke Fickell’s replacement continues, Jackson State head coach Deion Sanders is reportedly considering the Bearcats alongside multiple other schools via Fox’s Kevin O’Connell.
In a recent press conference, Sanders revealed that he received a contract offer from Colorado and heard from several programs but is focused on leading Jackson State in the SWAC title game on Saturday.
Even though Colorado is currently the only school to officially offer Sanders a job, it appears the Bearcats and South Florida are in the mix with a decision expected to be made this weekend.
The former Florida State star cornerback and Pro Football Hall of Famer has turned Jackson State into a championship contender in just three seasons including an undefeated 11-0 record this year.

Even though it’s more likely the Bearcats go in another direction, it sounds like Sanders is under consideration as Cunningham narrows in on a decision with the calendar turning to December.
Other potential candidates include Bearcats offensive coordinator Gino Guidugli, Michigan defensive coordinator Jesse Minter, Tennessee offensive coordinator Alex Golesh, Ohio State wide receivers coach Brian Hartline and more.
