Western Kentucky graduate tight end Joey Beljan revealed his commitment to transfer to the Bearcats on Tuesday afternoon and is expected to have one year of eligibility remaining.

Beljan totaled 191 receiving yards and four touchdowns on 15 catches last season, highlighted by a 27-yard touchdown reception in a 44-23 win over South Alabama in the New Orleans Bowl.

The New Jersey native racked up 282 yards and 10 touchdowns at Western Kentucky including a nine-yard touchdown in a season-opening win over Florida International last September.

Cincinnati first-year offensive coordinator and tight ends coach Tom Manning needs to replace veteran tight ends Josh Whyle and Leonard Taylor, and Beljan should be a candidate to start.
