Best NFL Wild Card Bet
Let’s stay in Ohio and back the Bengals with my best bet. As it looks increasingly unlikely that Lamar Jackson will play for Baltimore, Cincy should roll by double-digits and have value even at the current spread of 8.5.
No team is in worse shape heading to the playoffs than the Ravens. They averaged 12.5 points per game over the final six weeks, failing to score more than 17 points in any of those matchups.
On the other hand, the Bengals haven’t scored fewer than 20 points since the beginning of October. They’ve covered the spread in 12 of their last 14 games with one of the NFL’s most complete teams thanks to an explosive offense and quality defense led by defensive coordinating wizard Lou Anarumo.
In their last nine games as underdogs, the Ravens won just twice. Cincinnati, meanwhile, won each of its last six as a favorite while covering the spread five times in that stretch.
Expect both trends to continue as the Bengals overwhelm a struggling Baltimore team. Get your bet locked in before the line moves further, and feel comfortable betting Cincy up to -9.5.
