Stay tuned for live coverage for the Cincinnati Bearcats highly-anticipated matchup against AAC rival Memphis Tigers and make sure to watch the 84th all-time meeting on ESPN2 and fuboTV!

Both teams are hoping to secure a first round bye in the upcoming AAC Tournament and stay alive for an NCAA Tournament at-large berth so the result is crucial with March around the corner.

On the opening possession, senior forward Landers Nolley II knocked down a triple to give the Bearcats an early lead against his former program but Memphis answered with a 12-0 run.

Despite struggling to find a rhythm offensively, Cincinnati responded with a 6-0 run to cut into the deficit as David DeJulius found Viktor Lakhin for a dunk with 11:48 left in the first half.

Coming into the highly-anticipated rivalry, Cincinnati has lost three games in a row and four of the last five matchups against Memphis including a pair of single-digit losses last year.

Fresh off a win at South Florida, the Bearcats moved into a tie for second place in the conference standings with a 5-2 record as veteran guard David DeJulius dropped a game-high 21 points.

After playing in 57 games at Memphis in the last two seasons, Nolley gets a chance to face his former teammates and enters the matchup leading Cincinnati with 15.4 points per game.

Cincinnati Basketball: Landers Nolley II set to face familiar foe in Memphis Tigers

During his sophomore campaign, Nolley led Memphis in points and 3-point percentage, plus took home the Most Outstanding Player award as Memphis secured the NIT championship in 2021.

Even though it will be unlike most games because of the familiarity, Nolley has experience facing former teammates including scoring 21 points in the blowout win at South Florida this week.

Nolley went up against former Memphis teammate and current South Florida point guard Tyler Harris on Wednesday night and helped Cincinnati pick up an 85-69 win to improve to 14-6.

It will be interesting to see how Nolley responds to being defended by former teammates DeAndre Williams and Chandler Lawson but I’m sure he will continue to be a catalyst for the Bearcats.
