As the program prepares to transition into the Big 12 next season, the Bearcats coaching staff will target dozens of players in the transfer portal and should look at several MAC standouts.

Wes Miller is set to add a pair of 4-star recruits in Cincinnati product Rayvon Griffith and Florida native Jizzle James, with expectations of likely grabbing multiple transfers as well.

Despite missing out on recent St. John’s transfer commit Yaxel Lendeborg, the Bearcats should be able to bring in a couple more players to strengthen depth heading into the Big 12.

There are hundreds of talented potential transfers across the country but Cincinnati should target Toledo Rockets backcourt duo in junior RayJ Dennis and sophomore Ra’Heim Moss.

With just over a month left in the regular season, Dennis is a candidate for MAC Player of the Year after averaging 18.5 points and leading the conference with 6.0 assists in 19 games.

Moss is putting up 8.0 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game during his sophomore year. The Ohio native also ranks fourth in the MAC with 1.7 steals per game to lead Toledo.

Other transfers the Bearcats should target include Dayton freshman forward Kaleb Washington, Milwaukee point guard sophomore Eden Holt and Kent State junior forward Jarred Logan.

Washington was a 3-star prospect per 247 Sports before committing to Dayton over Cincinnati, Georgia, Miami and others. Stay tuned for the latest transfer portal rumors moving forward!

Cincinnati Basketball: Bearcats senior forward Landers Nolley II receives AAC weekly honors

Cincinnati senior forward Landers Nolley II earned AAC weekly honors after leading the way to wins over East Carolina and SMU, while recording back to back double-doubles last week.

Nolley scored a team-high 20 points, 10 rebounds and two steals including shooting 7/15 from the field and 4/9 from beyond the arc in an 83-55 win over East Carolina on Wednesday.

Just a few days later, the Georgia native continued his hot streak with 16 points and 12 rebounds as the Bearcats survived with a 54-52 win at SMU on Saturday to improve to 13-6.

In addition to playing at an elite level last week, Nolley leads the team with 15.1 points per game including nine consecutive double-digit performances and three double-doubles in January.
