With the Big 12 schedule set to be released in just over an hour, check out a couple expectations and rumors as the program prepares for its inaugural season in a new conference!

Bearcats first-year head coach Scott Satterfield is hoping to carry recent success into the Big 12  but a difficult schedule could make that an uphill climb as the team enters a transition.

Even though it hasn’t been confirmed yet, Cincinnati is projected to play fellow newcomers BYU, Central Florida and Houston. BYU is the only one of that seems to still be unclear.

In addition to resuming the long-time rivalry against West Virginia, reports indicate the Bearcats are expected to face Oklahoma at Nippert Stadium and travel to Texas next year.

Prior to the start of conference play in late September, Cincinnati will host a pair of non-conference teams in Eastern Kentucky and Miami, with a trip to Pittsburgh in between.

One opponent that we know won’t be on the schedule next season is national runner-up TCU because a release was accidentally leaked last night and the Bearcats were not listed.

The remaining schedule will include at least three of the following opponents: Baylor, Iowa State, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech, plus reigning Big 12 champion Kansas State.

Make sure to check back this afternoon as we break down the Bearcats inaugural conference schedule in the Big 12 including must-see matchups, trap games and more!
