After getting off to a slow start, David DeJulius knocked down back to back 3-pointers to cap off an 11-0 run as Cincinnati took a 23-18 lead midway through the first half.
Despite losing center Viktor Lakhin to an injury, the Bearcats held Tulane scoreless for more than five minutes and forced eight turnovers to build a 37-28 lead at halftime.
Landers Nolley II helped fuel the first half performance with six points and two assists, while Kalu Ezikpe added six points and one rebound off the bench in Lakhin’s absence.

Despite giving up a double digit lead, the Bearcats were able to fend off Central Florida on Saturday at home behind a dominant defensive outing!
Cincinnati led by as much as 16 points in the second half before holding on for a win to improve to 16-8 overall and 7-4 in conference play.
During the AAC opener in late December, the Bearcats took down Tulane 88-77 as Nolley compiled a game-high 23 points and three rebounds.

Following a dominant first half, the Bearcats held off a late surge to escape with a 73-64 win over UCF to keep pace in the conference standings.
Wes Miller’s team was active defensively from the opening tip off en route to recording the most takeaways since 2015 with 24 forced turnovers and 16 steals.
Just moments after finding Lakhin for a layup to regain the lead, DeJulius knocked down a clutch stepback triple to put the Bearcats up 66-62 with a minute remaining.
Lakhin scored a team-high 20 points and eight rebounds, while DeJulius finished with 19 points and seven assists on 4/6 shooting from 3-point range in the win.
