Bearcats senior forward Ody Oguama is coming off a great outing at Tulane and will look to keep it going on Saturday!

Oguama tied a career-high with 16 points and 13 rebounds in the loss on Tuesday, and will play a key role this weekend.

After starting center Viktor Lakhin suffered a sprained ankle, Oguama elevated his play with an impressive performance.

Wes Miller will look for Oguama to have another positive showing since Lakhin is questionable to play against South Florida.

After moving into the starting lineup last month, Oguama has helped improve the Bearcats interior presence.

Cincinnati needs several others to step up will Lakhin hobbled including Jeremiah Davenport, Kalu Ezikpe and Dan Skillings Jr.

During a matchup at South Florida in January, Oguama scored nine points and six rebounds to help the Bearcats secure a win.

If Oguama can continue to play at a high level, it would be a significant boost with March quickly approaching.

Cincinnati Basketball: Viktor Lakhin’s status headlines storylines to watch against South Florida

Wes Miller’s team could be without starting center Viktor Lakhin, who suffered a sprained ankle in the loss on Tuesday night.

Lakhin is averaging 12.5 points, while leading the Bearcats with 7.9 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game in his sophomore year.

After going down in the first half, Lakhin was unable to return and is questionable to play against South Florida.

It will be important for Kalu Ezikpe, Ody Oguama and several others to step up if Lakhin isn’t ale to suit up tomorrow night.
