Check out a break down of the Bearcats all-time series history against Virginia Tech prior to the NIT first round matchup between the former Metro Conference rivals tomorrow night!

The programs first met in 1979 as Cincinnati won 72-68 at Virginia Tech but the Hokies responded with four straight victories over the next two seasons including a 40-point blowout in 1980.

Virginia Tech leads the all-time series with an 18-12 record against the Bearcats but every matchup took place from 1979-1991, when each school competed in the Metro Conference.

Both teams are looking to create momentum by competing for a tournament championship, which could be a major benefit for players that are expected to take on a larger role next season.
