Wes Miller’s team will get a chance to finish the season on a positive note against Virginia Tech and possibly beyond as the NIT tips off Wednesday at 9:00 PM on ESPN2 and fuboTV.
After finishing the regular season with a 15-3 record at home, the Bearcats opened as 5.5-point favorites with the over/under currently set at 151.5 total points according to WynnBET.
Both programs are hoping to create momentum by competing for a NIT championship, which could be a major benefit for players that are expected to take on a larger role next season.
Players to watch in the first round matchup include Cincinnati guard David DeJulius and forward Daniel Skillings Jr, plus Virginia Tech senior frontcourt duo Grant Basile and Justyn Mutts.
