After taking down Virginia Tech on Wednesday night, the Bearcats advanced to the NIT second round and are set to face Hofstra on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 PM on ESPN+ and fuboTV!
Hofstra upset top seeded Rutgers in the NIT first round as senior guard Tyler Thomas totaled a team-high 25 points, highlighted by a game-winning shot with 9.3 seconds left in overtime.
Speedy Claxton’s team had five players reach double figures during the 88-86 win including former Oregon guard Aaron Estrada compiling 13 points, four assists and four rebounds.
Both teams are hoping to clinch a berth in the NIT quarterfinals so it should be a competitive matchup as the programs prepare to meet for the first time ever at Hofstra Arena in New York.
