The future appears to be bright as Cincinnati Bearcats freshman duo Brady Drogosh and Barry Jackson Jr impressed in the Spring Game on Saturday afternoon at Nippert Stadium!

After decommitting from Nebraska and flipping to Cincinnati in late December, Jackson enrolled early and has quickly become a fascinating aspect of the Bearcats new-look offense.

Drogosh was the highest rated high school recruit to join Scott Satterfield’s team this offseason and he certainly looked the part today, flashing dynamic athleticism and dual threat ability.

Just moments after the Cincinnati freshmen connected on a first down reception, Drogosh found Jackson streaking down the sideline for a 34-yard touchdown to get the crowd going!

During his senior season at Warren De La Salle, Drogosh led the way to a second consecutive state championship including totaling 401 yards and five touchdowns in the title game last year.

A pair of former Florida Gators in quarterback Emory Jones and defensive back Jordan Young were other standouts in the Spring Game as they prepare for their first season at Cincinnati.

Following the spring scrimmage, Satterfield discussed the Bearcats freshman duo via Cincinnati Athletics.

"“Drogosh was awesome to see today. He’s going to be a really good football player with what he brings to the table, being a big guy that can run. He put on 21 pounds since he’s been here in January. He’s gotten stronger and faster with a live arm. Still learning a lot but very impressive to see him out there running around and making plays. Barry to me is probably, from day one to day 15, the most improved in the spring. Particularly for a guy that got here in January. I mean he’s a true freshman. He’s supposed to be getting ready for his prom right now and he’s out here catching touchdowns in the Spring Game. He had to get a lot of reps at the slot for us and learn a whole lot so I give him a ton of credit. I would say the last four or five practices, the light has really gone off and he’s starting to get it. Incredible catches today. The touchdown was an unbelievable catch then he made one that same drive on the sideline. That was a great catch. He’s really grown up a lot in a short period of time and is certainly a guy that we’ll use in the fall. Maybe we didn’t know if we would or not early in the spring, and now that you’re starting to look at it, he’s going to make us play him. Which is what you want.”"
