Cincinnati Football: Josh Whyle projected to get picked in NFL Draft alongside fellow former Bearcats

La Salle High School product and former Cincinnati tight end Josh Whyle is aiming to get picked in the 2023 NFL Draft this weekend alongside a handful of fellow Bearcats standouts!
The Cincinnati native became the first Bearcats tight end with 15 receiving touchdowns in his career, surpassing Brent Celek’s school record with a 14-yard score against UCF last season.
Whyle was recently named the 5th highest rated tight end prospect prior to the draft according to the 33rd Team. Notre Dame star Michael Mayer is projected to be the first tight end drafted.

Since breaking out in his sophomore campaign, Whyle solidified himself as one of the best tight ends in program history and should compete for a roster spot heading into training camp.
Whyle received three All-AAC selections and developed into an impressive prospect, compiling 1,062 receiving yards and 88 catches in 41 games, throughout his time at Cincinnati.

During the recent Pro Day event, Whyle displayed his next level potential by participating in multiple drills and recording an unofficial time of 4.69 seconds in the 40-yard dash.
