Akron native and Cincinnati Bearcats receiver prospect Tre Tucker was selected by the Las Vegas Raiders with the 100th overall pick in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft tonight!

Coming off an impressive career, Tucker became the third highest drafted receiver in Bearcats history behind Alec Pierce (53rd pick last year) and Mardy Gilyard (99th pick in 2010).

In addition to being a dynamic returner, Tucker developed into a key contributor at slot receiver and finished his career with 1,426 receiving yards, 111 catches and eight touchdowns.

Tucker was one of the fastest prospects in the draft and should have a chance to compete for a roster spot on the Raiders alongside former Bearcats offensive tackle Justin Murray.

Both receivers earned a lot of attention during the pre-draft process because of their next level potential, which was displayed in the Scouting Combine and Pro Day last month.

Scott led the Bearcats with 54 receptions and 899 receiving yards last season, and is expected to be drafted on Saturday afternoon after showing off elite speed throughout his career.
